15 Things for Quarantine Entertainment

Here are 15 things to keep your brain busy & entertained during these stressful times.

1. Learn something - We all have that one (or five) thing(s) that we have been meaning to learn for a while, or has it been years? Whether it's downloading Duolingo and getting started on your Spanish or picking up that guitar that's been sat in the corner of your room for a while, now is the time. There are free Apps, step by steps and how to videos all over the internet. There's no excuse! Make yourself proud of what you've achieved after this outbreak.

2. Live entertainment - Missing your Friday night entertainment? Turn to Facebook Live. So many performers are using the platform to show off their talents from home. Live pub quizzes are so much fun to get involved with, and through the comments it can really feel like your socialising. Grab yourself a gin and a pen! Personally, I recommend this page > Spice

3. Read a book - A lot more people than you might think love to snuggle up on the sofa with a good book. Re-read your favourite or try a new one. If you don't have any there are plenty of free options on the iBooks store, Amazon and other similar Apps.

4. The Radio - If you are feeling far away from home, try giving someone a shout out on the radio. It will definitely brighten up someones day to know you're thinking of them.

5. Make a new playlist - Don't watch the news 24/7, although it's good to be well informed, the constant negative messages are bad for your mental health and there is no need for that. Make yourself a playlist filled with newly discovered songs that you can have on in the background throughout the day to boost your mood.

6. Board games - Make it feel like Christmas again and get the Monopoly out with the family!

7. Make something - What's your passion? Photography, Videography, Carpentry, Art, Writing? Start a project and let your creativity flow.

8. Clear out your wardrobe - Rather than spending all your money through online shopping with all your new free time, think of others and get some clothes together to donate. Or, turn your old clothes into something new altogether with a pair of scissors.

9. Group Video Call - Stay in touch with the gang by having evening drinks & gossip via a group call. Also, don't forget to call family and check in every now and then.

10. Puzzles - Do crosswords and Sudoku to keep your brain ticking.

11. Gardening - It's good to get off the couch and into the fresh air. Give your garden some TLC with a look of new life.

12. Exercise Routine - Make yourself an easy at home workout. They say sitting is the new smoking so let's keep on top of our health. All you need is something simple & easy to get moving.

13. TV - Binge watch those Netflix series that you've has on your list, or even better: have a Disney day.

14. Find your style - Practice styling your hair different ways, get creative with your eyeshadow colours. You might even find a new style that suits you. Perfect those flicks girl!

15. Create a portfolio - Showcase your hobby or work and publish it for the world to see.
